Dan Santistevan, co-founding member of Colorado Springs rock band BALANCED ROCK, announce the premier of their music video “Bite The Bullet.” The band shot the video at the Red Rock Canyon open space on May 16, 2020.
Unfortunately, all of BALANCED ROCK scheduled concert performances for the Summer 2020 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 “social distancing” restrictions. The Pikes Peak Library District has announced the BALANCED ROCK concert scheduled for Tuesday June 2nd at the 2020 Manitou Springs Library Summer Lawn Concert series has been CANCELLED. The band appreciates everyone’s understanding under these unprecedented circumstances.

CANCELLED! Begin Summer with a Bang! Catch BALANCED ROCK live in concert Tuesday June 2nd at the 2020 Manitou Springs Library Summer Lawn Concert series. The band invites you to plan to spend a splendid early Summer evening in downtown historic Manitou Springs, Colorado. Music begins promptly at 6:00 pm so claim your spot on the lawn and enjoy the 90-minute concert. Lawn chairs and picnic baskets encouraged.

Wearing the mask created at the Aeronaut Armor Fabrication class, Dan Santistevan provided acoustic guitar musical entertainment at the 2020 St. Paul Mardi Gras Street Party and Ball at the Julie Penrose Hall on Saturday February 1, 2020.
Santistevan performed seven Sundays for the 2019 Summer Music at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, CO. As a long-time local resident, Santistevan witnessed first hand how the Zoo is truly a “melting pot” and how refreshing it is to observe people of all ages and all walks of life enjoying and exploring the Legacy the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and all it has to offer.”
The incredible landscape and layout nestled into the side of Cheyenne Mountain makes it the only mountain zoo in the United States! The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is open year-round to be considered one of the Crown Jewels of Colorado Springs and the surrounding Pikes Peak Region.
Dan Santistevan is a Multimedia Producer for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Future Warfare Center, Center of Excellence, Space & Missile Defense School located at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.
Santistevan provides technical support expertise in digital media design and Distributed Learning instruction to include creative direction, graphic design, animation, video production, motion graphics, art, illustration, logo design, branding and photography.
Dan’s graphic design artwork has been featured in the U.S. Air Force Space Command’s Overview multimedia presentation and the cover graphic artwork for two publications of the AFSPC High Frontier Journal featuring the Schriever Wargame 2010 Vol 7 No1. and Schriever Wargame 2011 Vol 5 No 4. The last edition of the High Frontier The Journal for Space and Cyberspace Professionals was published August 2011.
BALANCED ROCK: CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO – TAILS, TUNES & TASTES

Santistevan’s video production experience dates back to 1982 with the creation of the six-minute cel animated rock video King’s Elevator. As Executive Producer he spearheaded the project by writing and recording the song as a guitarist in the rock band Once, and collaborating with local Colorado Springs artists at OXO Films and Animart F/X Animation Co. Bob and Linn Trochim, Hollywood animation veterans relocated to Colorado Springs and purchased the Alexander Film Studios animation departmentHe also had hundreds of boxes of beautiful animation cels, purchased from Alexander Film Company, originally used in theatrical commercials, and these contained effects such as sparkles, explosions, etc., which he freely allowed the crew to use in the film. Dan has been an instructor at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center – Bemis School of Art since 2010 teaching an introductory Adobe Photoshop 101 class specializing in digital media design, encouraging students to develop their technical computer skills to express their creative artistic design instincts.
The Bemis School of Art is located behind the Fine Arts Center near Cascade Ave. and Cache La Poudre St. at 818 Pelham Place in downtown Colorado Springs, CO.
